South Korean Choi Eun-ha filed lawsuit in Hong Kong after auction house told her painting by renowned Korean artist Lee Ufan was forgery.
A South Korean woman, Choi Eun-ha, is suing a British art adviser, Lawrence Van Hagen, claiming that a US$920,000 painting by renowned Korean artist Lee Ufan, which she bought from him, is a forgery. Van Hagen, founder of art advisory service LVH Art, maintains that the painting is authentic and his legal team is investigating the claims. This dispute is playing out in Hong Kong courts.
